Where frost is rare
In Florida daylilies can go in the ground in any month, but spring and fall plantings succeed best. In central and south Florida, choose evergreen types, because dormant (deciduous) types may not get enough winter chill to grow and flower well. Florida bloom starts around March for early cultivars and mid-May for late ones.
